Human milk also contains immunologic agents and other compounds that act against viruses , bacteria , and parasites. Since an infant's immune system is not fully developed until age 2, human milk provides a distinct advantage over formula.
This medicine will add to the effects of other depressants and alcohol. Side effects that may go away during treatment include drowsiness or dry mouth. Dizziness, weakness, headache and confusion have been reported by some patients. Muscle spasms, including rare instances of tremor and convulsions, have occurred, usually when very high doses of Atarax have been taken.
NURSING MOTHERS: It is not known if hydroxyzine is excreted into breast milk. In general, antihistamines are not recommended for use during breastfeeding because they can cause stimulation or seizures in newborns.
