Claritin and Pregnancy. This eMedTV page discusses Claritin and pregnancy. It describes the results of clinical studies, details how the FDA rates the safety of drugs during pregnancy, and explains why a pregnant woman should still discuss Claritin use with her doctor.

In May every year like clockwork, my allergies kick in. My eyes water, I sneeze and my throat itches like nobodies business. Over the course of my allergy season I wind up spending over $100 on Claritin or other antihistamine based products. I hate it because, spending money on Claritin and allergy medicine is money that I could use elsewhere. Unfortunately I have a very hard time fending off my allergy symptoms so I have no choice but to spend the money on Claritin pills.

ClaritinŽ (loratadine) is a non-prescription medication approved to treat allergies in adults and children as young as two years old. It belongs to a group of medications known as non-sedating antihistamines (which means that it is less likely to cause drowsiness).
