In May every year like clockwork, my allergies kick in. My eyes water, I sneeze and my throat itches like nobodies business. Over the course of my allergy season I wind up spending over $100 on Claritin or other antihistamine based products. I hate it because, spending money on Claritin and allergy medicine is money that I could use elsewhere. Unfortunately I have a very hard time fending off my allergy symptoms so I have no choice but to spend the money on Claritin pills.

Claritin and Alcohol. As this eMedTV page explains, Claritin and alcohol can be a safe combination for people who do not experience drowsiness with the drug (but in some cases, combining them is not advised). Tips for drinking safely when taking the drug are also provided.

Speak to your doctor about your allergies before you purchase Claritin. Let him know what other medications or supplements you are taking that may interact negatively with Claritin. He may be able to suggest the formula of the medication that will best be able to help you.
